BHDC Invites the Public to Next Listening Session with the Berkeley Heights Police Department

The Berkeley Heights Diversity Council is excited to invite you to “We are Listening” our next Listening Session with the Berkeley Heights Police Department on Wednesday, March 24th at 7pm on Zoom. Many community members have asked for an increased dialogue with our Berkeley Heights Police Department and the BH Police are eager to continue to open up that dialogue.

This Listening Session will be an opportunity to be introduced to recently appointed Police Chief Jason Massimino and our recently hired officers while commemorating Women’s History month. To join the conversation, please click this BHDC zoom link.

Please join us together with other members of the community to hear and share views of how to continue to make Berkeley Heights more inclusive and welcoming at this critical point in our nation’s history. A “Listening Session” is meant as a community brainstorming session, a time to raise concerns and to hear ideas to help ensure that Berkeley Heights becomes increasingly inclusive and welcoming to all. It will be a great opportunity for the BHPD to share updates on their community policing program and listen to residents.

The Berkeley Heights Diversity Council continues to host opportunities for residents to share views, ask questions, listen to each other and be heard by important stakeholders in Berkeley Heights including the Berkeley Heights Police Department, and our schools. The BHDC has a long-standing partnership with the Berkeley Heights Police Department and this is just one way for the BHPD to be available to residents.

The intent is for the BHPD to listen and take away questions so that they can take the time to respond to residents in a thoughtful way.

We hope you will join us, and we look forward to "seeing you" on Wednesday. Please help us spread the word about the event.
