Community Partnerships
The Berkeley Heights Diversity Council has and continues to establish active and engaging partnerships with key groups in the Berkeley Heights Community to open dialogue, air issues and work collectively towards educating residents, creating welcomeness & resolving issues when needed. The BHDC enjoys a long-standing, productive and open partnership with the BHPD. The partnership has resulted in a constantly growing list of programs to increase community education about, and involvement with, the BHPD.
New Providence Diversity Committee
The BHDC and the New Providence Diversity Committee enjoy a long-standing and productive relationship. We support each-other's events, co-sponsor community evens and look forward to continuing to work together in the future.
Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Advisory Committee
The Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Advisory Committee was established by Mayor Devanney and members of the Township Council in June, 2020.
Berkeley Heights Public Schools
The BHDC has established an open and productive partnership with the Berkeley Heights Public Schools: the District Superintendent, Dr. Melissa Varley, and the Board of Education.
Berkeley Heights YMCA
The BHDC has worked alongside to co-sponsor and support Berkeley Heights YMCA events for years. Popular events include the annual BH YMCA Pride events, the annual Diwaili Festival of Lights, and the annual Lunar New Year celebration, all sponsored by the BH YMCA and fully supported by the BHDC.
Berkeley Heights Asian Community
The BHDC has partnered with a newly formed team of residents focused on engaging the Asian community. One of the first steps will be creating a survey for distribution in the near future, aimed at getting their pulse on how to continue making Berkeley Heights the most welcoming and inclusive community in the state of New Jersey!
